The Abbey

  • Charm and history

In the heart of Madonie Mountains, surrounded by the colours and scents of the pristine nature, stands Abbazia Santa Anastasia, an oasis nestled in the countryside and surrounded by vineyards and nature. Founded by Ruggero d’Altavilla, in the twelfth century it was a Benedictine abbey immersed in the peace and quiet of the mountains.

Today it is a luxury resort, just 100 km from Palermo. Every suite and room evokes the charm, style and colours of Sicily. Just look out the window: the vineyards and olive groves of the estate stretch as far as the eyes can see. A scenario that will make your stay even more special.

The Abbey, Naturally

A distinctive feature of Relais Santa Anastasia is the close relationship with nature. Nature lies at the centre of the experience that Relais Santa Anastasia offers, as well as of the production philosophy of the winery.

The approach to a holiday or short stay at the Abbey follows a rhythm and takes on a meaning that is in total harmony with the natural cycle of the area. The wonderful colours of the surrounding vineyards and the enchanting landscapes of the Madonie Mountains afford unique moments of contemplation and relax. The rhythms of nature are also followed in the kitchen where the vegetable and herb gardens ensure a seasonal cuisine with fresh produce and products that come mainly from the local area.
